Pauline Johnson (1861 - 1913)


     Born on the Six Nations Reserve near Bantford Ontario, poet Pauline Johnson toured extensively in Canada, the United States and Britain at the turn of the last century, performing her poetry and dressed in buckskin and feathers. She adopted the Mohawk name Tekahionwake (Double Wampum). The bust is finished in pages from FLINT AND FEATHER.
