A self-taught man who drew on his working class experience, Al Purdy was one of the most significant Canadian poets of the last half of the 20th Century. He published more than 600 poems, as well as 30 volumes of new or selected work. His bust is finished in pages from PILING BLOOD and PURDY SELECTED.
