W.O. Mitchell (1914 - 1998)


     W. O. Mitchell, who was born in Weyburn Saskatchewan and died in High River Alberta, was a beloved and eloquent voice of the Canadian prairie. He was the best known for his first novel, WHO HAS SEEN THE WIND, and the popular CBC radio series JAKE AND THE KID, which were both used in the finishing of his bust.
